Hi, I’m Sarah

and I’m the founder of Femmepreneurs Aberdeen.

After being made redundant and deciding to start up on my own in late 2022, I quickly realised there wasn’t much of a support network for women business owners.

I didn’t feel like any of the articles I read about being self employed addressed the unique challenges that women business owners face and I felt quite isolated, so about a year after my decision to work for myself, I started a small social group for local femme business owners, with the idea of meeting once a month in a cafe/bar venue and chatting about whatever came up.

I realised other women liked the idea of having a support network so this website was the logical next step, to create more of a community and to promote women owned businesses locally.

My aim is to support and promote femme-owned businesses and to encourage more women into entrepreneurship.
